Tax Senior
Job Description: The Tax Senior performs complex tax preparation, tax research and planning under partner supervision, provides work direction and guidance to less experienced staff, and assists in client management and practice development activities.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement client engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects)
- Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
- Assist on proposals and business development calls
- Prepare more complex federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts and individuals
- Conduct tax research to resolve client issues, recommend tax strategies, and prepare technical memorandums as required
- Advise clients on how to minimize tax liability, inform them of any tax changes that affect their business or individual return and ensure compliance with taxing agency requirements
- Prepare more difficult quarterly estimated tax and extension payments and corresponding vouchers
- Respond to notices, interface with taxing authorities, and assist with federal and state tax audits
- Display the ability to independently identify problem areas early, research technical issues, and proactively resolve issues
Requirements and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following basic qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant tax experience in the public accounting field
- Broad exposure to federal income taxation and knowledge of tax regulations
- Detail oriented and self-sufficient with the ability to meet multiple competing priorities
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude
- Strong technical knowledge and skills
- Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e., Excel)
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks
Education and Licenses:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Accounting
- Master of Taxation is highly desirable, but not mandatory
- CPA certification or EA (active) preferred
- Active PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number)

Senior Accountant:
Job Description: Support the monthly/quarterly and annual period closing process, prepare journal entries, review general ledgers and prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Calculate sales and use-tax
- Pull and analyze payroll reports and prepare tax calculations
- Book intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Maintain fixed asset ledger
- Research and resolve discrepancies in client financials
- Full charge bookkeeping
Requirements and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following basic qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years of General Ledger accounting experience
- Advanced in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop)
- Experience with Thomson Reuters Accounting CS software
- Exposure to federal income taxation and knowledge of tax regulations
- Detail oriented and self-sufficient with the ability to meet multiple competing priorities
